PIs it possible to mark up text in PowerPoint slides the same way as in Word
(i.e. with changes showing in a different colour). I am trying to make
suggestions for alternative text in a presentation, but I want the
suggestions to show in track changes mode.

Also, how do I activate the reviewing tab, which is grayed out?

I think we have PowerPoint 2002. I would be grateful for any enlightenment.

If you have a Mac, you don't have PowerPoint 2002.
This is a Mac group; if you do have PPT 2002, you probably want
Public.PowerPoint instead.

But since we're here ...

There's no track revisions feature in PowerPoint (any version) that behaves
like the one in Word.

You can use Comments to make suggestions though. In 2002/2003, choose Insert,
Comment and type away. Once you've inserted a comment, the reviewing bar
becomes available.

Note that if your associates use PPT 2000 or earlier, they won't be able to
view your comments.

I believe you've posted to the wrong newsgroup - this one is for PPt on the
Mac.... But if there is a Reviewing Tab it sounds more like Office 2007
Office 2002 has conventional Menus & Toolbars, not "tabs". Be sure to
specify your version when you post. You'll find the PC PPt group here:

How is it possible to see the Tracked Changes in a PowerPoint presentation in
Slide View? I would like to be able to see deleted and inserted text on
screen rather than in notes / comments in a task pane. I want to be able to
display those changes in a Slide Show for general discussion by the team.

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

When I insert text, only the color changes of the inserted text and NO balloon will display. A balloon will display for every other change made but not for inserted text.

I have every option turned on in preferences and tried a multitude of things... I'm at a loss here.

7. How do I track changes on the slides in Powerpoint

Hi,

I know this has probably been asked (and answered) heaps
of times, but I can't work out how to turn track changes
on so that people can see where I have edited the
slides. I know when I send the presentation to word that
the track changes works on the notes, but is there a
function in powerpoint so that I don't have to send it to
word?

Thanks
