I am using an iBook that only has a CD player built in.  I thot i would
be able to plug my external Memorex DVD burner and use it to watch DVDs
but DVD player did not recognize it.  After i installed Patchburn for
Panther, DVD player said it had "internal errors".

First, i am not certain i installed everything.  Because the iBook only
had a CD player, the OS installation did not include DVD player.  I
copied it from another laptop.  When i looked at every file that
includes DVD in its name with the Finder, the two computers matched
libraries and such.  But i may be missing some other critical file. 
Which?

Is there another piece of software i could use to watch DVDs on the
iBook?

Why is life so complicated?
