I'm sorry, you still aren't being clear. *Is* this text that you tried to delete? *Where* does it say HTML Defs? Are you using Word's Master Document feature? What did you hope Demote to Text would do? No, you don't need to re-type. I still can't tell what the problem might be from your lack of information, but the worst case scenario would probably be to copy it all and use Edit | Paste Special into a new document, experimenting with the different paste special options to see which serves you best. There may be an easier option, can't tell. You might also try selecting the misformatted text, and using the options on the Format menu or Formatting Palette to change its appearance. 4. Linking text boxes crashes Word 2008
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel I am creating a long document in Word 2008 which contains several text boxes linked together to "flow" a "story". After linking about 4 text boxes together, I tried to click the square at the bottom right of the last text box in order to create a new, linked text box. When I clicked it, it crashed Word. Opening the file and proceeding the same way has yielded the same results, every time, for about 5 tries in a row. Any suggestions on how to rescue my current document, and on how to avoid the problem in the future, would be appreciated. - Tom R. (Running an intel iMac with OS X 10.5, and Word 2008).
5. Multiple text boxes on master and locking text box position
6. Text Box Activate from other Text Box
I have a text box called Joining Status in which the letters J, F, or I can be entered. There is another text box which is called Initiated which is at present always enabled. What I want to do is for the Initiated text box to be enabled only when I is entered in the Joining Staus box. ie so when J or F is entered then the Initiated box is not enabled. Help appreciated Jim
7. Inserting Text Box within a Text Box
8. PP Slide Show text boxes and graphics inverted
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Power PC Hi, I've never used powerpoint before so this is all new. The problem is that when I run slide show the text is moved (i.e. - the box on the bottom is on the top and the top one is on the bottom) and graphics are split in half and again the bottom is the top. Everything is right side up and all other aspects, print, layout views, etc. all appear to be functioning normally. Does anyone else have this problem or know haw to fix it? Thank you. I have a powermac G4, OS 10.4.11; Samsung Syncmaster 931b monitor.
