1. ppt crashes when opening ppt files
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I have a ppt file that was created on the last version of Powerpoint that I had on a Powerbook last December. I have since upgraded the computer to a Macbook Pro and Office to 2008. Now I cannot open the file - it crashes Powerpoint on every attempt. The file contains a few videos and graphics. The videos are IIRC mov and the images are jpg. Any suggestions on how I can force it to open the file? Can it be opened by disabling images/videos? TIA
2. Picts in PPT X files messed up in PPT 2004
3. Problems saving PPT file in MAC OS X, PPT 2004, with Norton AutoPr
> Turning off Norton Autoprotect and restarting PowerPoint fixes the problem. > Only affects PowerPoint. > > Is this a Norton problem or a PowerPoint problem? If the headache stops when you cease whacking yourself on the head with a hammer, is the hammer or your head to be blamed? ;-) Norton's notorious for causing mischief with PPT. Check to see if there's an Office or PowerPoint checking feature; if so, you can probably disable it and turn Norton back on. ================================================ Steve Rindsberg, PPT MVP PPT FAQ: www.pptfaq.com PPTools: www.pptools.com ================================================

5. Where are the auto recovery files?
Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel PowerPoint crashed w/o warning and I cannot find the auto recovery update files? Where are they hidden?
7. Doc. Recovery - Cannot Delete file
Hi there, When I open Powerpoint, there are two files that I created a while ago, that I can't seem to get rid of in the Document Recovery task bar. When I go through the process to either recover them or delete them, no matter what I get an error message "Cannot delete file: cannot read from the source disk or file". any ideas? Thanks in advance! Marty
