Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

My University has a new template. I have lots of slides in an older template. All built on PC PPT but works well in keynote and Office 2008. If I build a new presentation in the new template - that is fine; then I wish to import slides from an old template. I highlight the source slides and drag them into the target presentation (new template). The formatting is all over the place; both old and new headers, footers exist, fonts - no pattern. Moreover, the new brush thing to apply formats is not easy for me to use as the old pick up and apply style. I am spending far too much time on this. How can I either apply a new template to ld slides or import old slides into a new template so that the old slides pick up all the formatting? If this is not possible, then maybe I need to build a template from scratch?

Hi,

Instead of using copy/paste try using Insert> Slides > From file.
There's a checkbox that lets you decide whether or not to keep the
original formatting.

It may depend on the nature of the slides & the disparity between the
formatting of the 2 files, but have you tried Insert> Slides From> Other
Presentation? Make sure to select the "Select Slides to Insert" option and
that the "Keep design of original slides" checkbox is cleared.

5. DVD Studio Pro 2 Problem applying template 

I am running DVD Studio Pro 2 version 2.0.5 on a G5 with OS X ver
10.3.5, all the latest security updates, and 1 Gb of ram. When I first
load the application I go to use a menu template and it hangs saying
Applying Template with the loading bar running across. I have let this
sit for more than an hour and it never finished loading.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not much, if you ask me...

You've probably seen a lot of those kind of messages over forums and
newsgroups,
and the explanation for this can be given in two words: IT WORKS!

But how on earth, will you ask me, does it actually works? How is such a
thing
possible?

After the whole process, you have therefore made $111,110! And it took
you only
15 minutes and $5!


If you think this might work (and it does, I can tell you that), then
folow
these simple instructions:

1) Open a FREE PayPal account (!Business or Premier, not the simple
one!), and
place $5 on it.
2) Using PayPal, pay $1 to the folowing 5 e-mail adresses, with 'Mailing
list
subscription' as subject and no message.
1-  XXXX@XXXXX.COM 
2-  XXXX@XXXXX.COM 
3-  XXXX@XXXXX.COM 
4-  XXXX@XXXXX.COM 
5-  XXXX@XXXXX.COM 
3) Make the changes you want to this message, and remove e-mail adress
number 1.
Then, place e-mail adress number 2 in number 1, 3 in number 2, 4 in

in number 4, and add your own e-mail adress (the one you used on
PayPal!) in

4) Send your new message to all the newsgroups on your server (or at
least 500
of them)!
(!) I suggest you run a IP-hiding software like Steganos Internet Anonym
(free
download on www.steganos.com) while posting with UltraNNTP.

That's it! It will take you 15 minutes and will cost you $5, but it will
also
make you earn more than $100,000!
All you have to do now is wait, and check your inbox to see PayPal money
flying
to you!

So, what is $5 and 15 minutes when it can make you earn $100,000 ?
