Read a 2/10/09 post about problem getting a slide show to run automatically, and followed procedure posted by Bob Jones, but my slide show won't advance from first slide even tho music plays. I've saved it as .mov also and it plays fine that way, but the file size is way too large to share online. Would appreciate knowing how to make the slide show run automatically.
While you're at it, any way to add more music to match length of the slide show?
Thanks!

Do you have any Custom Animation effects on the slide? If so, what settings
are in place for them? Can you manually advance the slides?
I'm afraid I can't help you on the music issue, though :-{

Thanks, Bob!
I went looking for the CA effects and found that I had inserted the music a second time beginning with the second slide and I guess that kept the show from advancing automatically.
About appending the music track to make it last thru the slides, it occurred to me to go to the last slide where music was present and insert the same music on the next slide, and it plays seamlessly!
Thanks for getting back to me.

Funny how one little oversight can make such a difference... And I believe I
was just over-thinking the music issue :-) Glad all is well !

Hello!
I have MS Powerpoint 2002 (Office XP).
I am interested in setting up a Powerpoint presentation, such that when I
click on the file icon for the presentation, the presentation starts
running. I am looking to avoid having to start the presentation inside of
Powerpoint. I want the presentation to start running when I click the icon.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I understand that, auto_open and auto_close macros are fired when you
load/unload add-in, and when you open a ppt file, actually before the
file loads completely.
Is there a way I can implement a macro that can execute after the ppt
file is opened? like may be try to automatically print the file from
the macro?
Thankyou
