1. Slow Printing with Firewall Client
2. Print performance very slow with Client Firewall ISA 2004
Hy all,
Printers=Toshiba 350 and 351 using local port configured with static IP
address
Prior to upgrading to ISA 2004 there were no problems printing. Following
installation of ISA 2004 on server and
Microsoft Firewall Client on computers, print spooling to Toshiba copiers
became extremely slow (2 minutes +),from Microsoft Office Programas, when
printing out of any application
except IE, AutoCAD, MicroStation. Here is what I have found while
troubleshooting:
1. Printing out of Internet Explorer is almost immediate, but printing out
of any other Office app is so slow in some cases the computer appears to be
ocked
upuntil the job finishes spooling.
2. If I disable Microsoft Firewall Client on the client computer, print
spooling returns to normal duration.
Any thoughts on where to start with this one?

"Installing Managed software Microsoft Firwall Client" during boot up and
taking about 2-5 miniutes to reach login screen. All PC's have Firewall
client installed. Removing firewall client solves issue. Any ideas whats

5. ISA2004 client firewall slow webpage loading - Windows Small Business Server(SBS)
6. XP clients slow - W2K clients fast
I have been running an ISA 2000 server for a couple of years. During
the time, performance has been great for my Windows 2000 clients.
Recently, I purchased some ThinkPads with XP Pro. All of the XP
clients are very slow. It takes at least 20 seconds to pull up
anything, even google. All systems are running the ISA firewall
client.
It's got to be a DNS thing, but I can't figure it out.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thank you very much for your time and effort.

7. Firewall (ISA client or WinXP firewall)
8. Slow browser after installing firewall
I have Windows 98 and internet cable connection with 3meg
speed. My browser is taking up to 5 minutes to just
connect to my home page. The internet service pinged my
modem at 100%, so it's not the connection. All this
started after installing Norton Internet Security. I even
had a Computer Technician to come to my home to reinstall
it with the correct configurations, with no effect on the
speed. Do you have any suggestions?
