I have been using Outlook Express 5.0.6 with OS 9.2.2 on a G3 Mac for a long
time with no problem.

Recently I have had a problem with receiving HTML. After the first message
in HTML (which works fine), all subsequent messages will open only in Plain
Text, including the original, when I go back to it.

Can anyone help?

I've had the exact problem, and as I search through these
threads I see that everyone else also has the same
problem...but I come here for answers, not for problems?

If it can't be fixed, or simply can't read HTML, I'm fine,
and my life will go on...but if someone knows of anything
to fix the problem, I'm hoping they'll share with all of us.

My only concern, or reason for my 'pursuit' is that for the
first year or so with 5.02 I 'did' receive HTML
format...and then one day, it all stopped. So I believe it
can be fixed, but it's been months researching and no
answers as of yet.

7. viewing HTML e-mail in Outlook Express 5 / OS 9 

On my iBook running OS 9, none of the messages I receive in Outlook Express
5.0 in HTML format are displayed as they should, the message window showing
only text with some formatting and a few HTML tags.

Since I know various people that have this problem, (and some that don't,
but we don't know why) I'm assuming that someone will have encountered it
before. Does anybody know the solution to this problem?
