Hi
I have been looking around in Google and Ask Jeeves for a tutorial that will
go through how to do these. I have found thousands! Most are so disjointed I am
confused before the first part is finished or the other are membership only and
purchase.
I am a novice when it comes to this type of thing and self taught in
Dreamweaver (enough to get by). My ISP allows MySQL for the database and I have
Access 2003,. so I think I have the tools but I just need a straight forward
easy to follow tutorial which seems to be hiding.
I am re-vamping my site (www.nigs1000.f2s.com/index.htm) and want to
incorporate at the very least a forum.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 Many thanks
 Nig

8. Guestbook with Javascript (or customizable off-site)

    Hi there.
I was wondering, I would like to have a Guestbook on my homepage, but
not one of those that are hosted someplace else and don't allow you to
change anything about it's appearance. So I was wondering if I could make
the guestbook in DW MX, with the correct fields and buttons, and then when
the SEND button is pressed, a local Javascript would do the rest.
I can't stand the idead of hosting it outside my site, because they all
look so f***ing ugly. Perhaps there are free or cheap guestbooks out there
that also allow you do this. Any suggestions?

    Best regards!
