Hello all,
I am attempting to burn a website to a cd for allowing media to have access to
some of the images for marketing. It is intended to be sort of an interactive
experience where the user can gain knowledge about our products as well as
download the images for their own use. Basically, I have condensed our current
website into the sections that we want on the cd, and the cd opens in html and
acts as its own website from their. The problem is, the image files are zipped
(jpg and eps) with linkage to them (all contained within the cd of course) and
the cd works fine on PC's. When the cd is inserted the pages open in html, the
user navigates around, and clicks on a link to download an image, the image
unarchives and opens in a new window for preview. On macs, however, when the
user clicks on the link a message pops up saying "unable to unarchive" or
something like that. My only guess is that when macs unarchive something, they
basically just save the image into the root folder, unless opening from a web
server, but in this case it's looking for that root folder and finds a CD which
is unwriteable? Am I somewhat correct? Is there any way around this error so
the cd works on both macs and PC's? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
