I have a standard look to my site so I thought I might just make all the
pages .asp pages and use #include statements to grab all the common content,
however I want to be sure that all the big search engines crawl it without a
problem. I heard that some have problems with ASP even if the ASP is not
that complicated.

6. search engine friendly and Dreamweaver question

Question (1) I understand search engines can follow text links, but are blind
to graphics and flash content. Can search engines follow 'hot spots' applied to
images linking internal webpages (for example an image with a hot
spot..href='webpage.htm' ) Question (2) When uploading my website I often see a
thumbs.db file (sometimes quite large) uploading too. Why did Dreamweaver
create this file, and whats it for ? Can I safely delete it from the server .
Question (3) While working within Dreamweaver sometimes a window appears
telling me 'Dreamweaver has been modified outside the programme - click yes or
no'. I usually click yes, and see no visual difference to what I'm doing, but
I'm interested in why the message appears. I hope I'm aloud to ask 3 questions
in a post, if not...sorry. Regards to all. John at NF
