Hi I'm very confused with all this right at the moment. A friend of mine has
told me to use these things for developing my web building I also us
dreamweaver. Now since we have installed apache and turned off IIS and FTP the
website I have on the net I cant upload or get from the sever anymore.I'm also
trying to create a database using mysql but am confused as to where I do this
dreamweaver, notepad online ??? Also I will need to learn php but that a bit
down the track. All i want now is for the computer to work my end and to
preview my site and changes I need to do and getting the computer to talk with
a simple database and upload it. Hope someone can help. It a bit overwhelming
right now.

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could help me to configure my home
machine to run as a test server for PHP using MySQL and Apache. I am

3. I downloaded mysql, php, and apache. Now what??? 

I downloaded them and installed them but what do i write my php in? when i goto 
my programs on my pc there are 3 things php.ini, manual, and lisence. notepad?

7. DB Connection Issue Apache/PHP/MySQL 

I am trying to connect from DW to a MySQL DB using an Apache server running PHP.  DW is working correctly with the Apache server. It will serve up PHP pages.  The issue seems to be happening between the Server and MySQL. The error message I am getting in DW is "Can't create TCP/IP socket (10050)."  I believe that this is a configuration issue either in Apache or MySQL. 

Can anyone help me out?
