Office Word Programming >> Word 2003 - Track Changes

by ChuckN » Wed, 19 Mar 2008 21:32:27 GMT

I want to accept all of the changes in a document. According to help, you
are supposed to click on the check next to accept changes and you should be
given the option to accept all changes. I never get the option. It always
just accepts the one change.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hi All - Weird problem here. We received a 73 page Word 2003 document with
tracked changes. When we open the document in Word 2003, everything looks
fine - all the tracked changes are showing up perfectly. When we open it in
Word 2007, however, the entire last half of the document shows up with
strikeout as if it had been deleted. There seems to be a compatability
problem between the two versions. Any suggestions on where to start with
this problem? Thanks!

4. Word 2003 - Track Changes - Not working properly AD how it affects

}Issue with Word 2003 and track changes feature.

The Track Option setting in Options Author Red\Blue for all

The result:

In Citrix Environment using Terminal Services Profile in Active Directory
for user account

All looks as it should with Red\Blue displaying as it should when changes
are made between two users

In corporate network environment not using the Profile area in Active
Directory for user account (not used because we do not want to have roaming
profiles used on additional machines in the corporate environment)

The result is a rainbow of colors for changes on the same document that in
Citrix views normally as Red\Blue

Question:

Could the feature of Word 2003 using Track Changes be affected this way due
to the Active Directory settings described - and if not could their be a
setting that we have not yet found be the issue? The installs of the office
program for both the desktops and the Citrix pool servers are the same.

6. Word 2003 Track Changes "mouseover" not working

When I mouseover an addition/deletion in a Word 2003 doc with Track Changes
on, the identity, time and date of the edit is not revealed in a bubble. I
cannot seem to find a setting in either Track Changes or Word's overall Tools
> Options to fix this.

It does not matter which page view mode I am in. It also does not matter if
I have "bubbles" turned on or off (incidentally, no identifying info appears
in bubbles, either). It does not matter which doc I am in: all docs,
regardless of their source, have the problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks...

I made a comment (balloon) right underneath a table. However, because the
balloon appears in the right margin it is throwing off my right margin. This
document is justified left and right and I do not want the balloon to change
my margin. Is there a way to move the balloon with the comment in it?
