How do we set up a Public Folder for everyone to share Business Contacts?

Al,

You can share your BCM database with collegues. They will also need BCM
installed on the machine and connect to your database. All clients connected
to BCM database will be able to access all data from BCM store. You can do
this by going to Business Contact Manager->Database Tools->Share Database
menu option. Help on database sharing will give you more information about
this feature.

BCM folders and Exchange public folders are orthogonal to each other. BCM
stores data in it's own database.

With Office Small Biz 2007, are there any additional licenses required to
share BCM accross the organization?

1. Push BCM contacts to public folders

I would like to create an add-on to do a 1-way synchronization from BCM 2007
to a public folder in Exchange 2003, preferably on an automatic schedule, so
that BCM users can access and synchronize PDA's when operating remotely.

Is this something that can be done in Outlook, or does this need to be a
server-side service? As BCM is in a SQL database, not Exchange, I am not at
all sure how to approach the project.

3. Migate frm Public contact folder to BCM supported by SQL

Hi,

I have the following task to to:

All our Contacts are in a public Contact Folder on Exchange 2003. These
Contacts are as well in a Table on a SQL 2005 Database (tbl_Contacts),
including entryID and a connection between Companies and the contacts
working for this companies (tbl_ContactLinks).

I now want to assign the data to BCM. There is now problem to sort the
public contact folder items in persons and companies and to copy them
afterwords to the approriate BCM Folders. But how can I make the connection
beetween them. Since the BCM Database is on my SQL 2005 as well, this should
be possible by SQL. But wich tables and fileds on BCM have to be modified?

Is there any documentation of the BCM database structure?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards

4. Exchange 2007 Public folders - Outlook still connects to Ex2003 Public Folders

5. Outlook 2007 - Other Contacts link to a public folder keeps disappearing

We have Outlook 2007 (Office 2007 Professional) installed on both
Vista and WinXP around the office. All of them have suffered from this
minor, but annoying problem.

We have a public folder with contact items named Catalog. To provide a
quick link to this folder, I add the public folder to their favorites
and it shows up in the Other Contacts tab on the left.

Sometimes (and this happens about once or twice a week out of 12 PCs)
the link disappears. You have to go click on the favorites again to
get it to show up again.

Does anyone know how to keep this from happening? Is there a better
way to get this folder to show up under the 'Other Contacts' tab?

Thanks in advance

Jay

7. OL 2007 Public Contact Folder Activities View Problem

We use two public folders, on an Exchange 2003 server. One is a contact
folder with our client list. The other is a task folder with tasks
associated with the contacts. We link the tasks to the contacts. We have
used OL 2003 for quite some time, and it allows you to open a contact, view
the activities tab which shows all of the tasks linked to that contact. I
have upgraded to OL 2007 on one computer, and OL 2007 does not seem to work
right. When I view the activities tab for a contact in OL 2007, it shows ALL
TASKS, not just the tasks linked to that contact. Has anyone had any
experience with this problem?
