bcm >> Upgrading from 2003

I just upgraded my outlook 2003 with BCM to 2007 with BCM. All works fine
but when I ge tto the database selector, my old dateabase does not show up in
the dropdown list. Is there something I need to do to the database files
first?

FYI: I made a copy the DB files before upgrading but did not think to do a
backup.

regards.

You might want to check to be sure that SQL Server has access to the folder containing your database files. In XP, right-click on
the folder, select "Properties", then click on the "Security" tab. Make sure that "NETWORK SERVICE" has read and write permissions.
In XP, the database files are normally under:

C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager

Hi Colin
You can try this. Go to your C:\Documents and Settings\User Name*\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft folder. Here User Name* is your login
user name. Check the persmisions of the Business Contact Manager Folder by
right clicking and selecting the properties. Add "Network Service" (without
the quotes) under Security tab. Make sure that the Permisions for Network
Service is Read and Write ( i.e. check boxes checked).

Did you click the "Connect" button on the database selection dialog? If your database does not appear after clicking "Connect",
make sure SQL Server instance is running:
1.) Right-click on My Computer and select "Manage"
2.) Expand the "Services and Applications" folder by clicking the plus sign, then click the "Services" folder
3.) Scroll down until you see "SQL Server (MSSMLBIZ)". Make sure its status is running.

If that does not work, we could try manually attaching the database.

I bought Office Pro Plus 2007 & installed over Office Small Business 2003. I
