What is the suggested method of dealing with an account, such as a client,
that has more than one address, such as a satellite office? I can put in a
Business, Home, and Other address on the account's contact record, but is
there something more sophisticated than that?

It depends on how you want to work with the different offices. If their
locations are mostly irrelevant to you, what you're already doing sounds
right. However, if you interact primarily with one and not the other, or you
have people assigned to one office and not the other, you might consider
making them two separate accounts. Then you can easily track communications
for each office separately (if that's important to you).

The problem is that it's sort of both. I am a MS Small Business Specialist
and I'm trying to make use of the technical service provider template that
was provided in the Action Pack. For some things, the office location is
unimportant. For example, I have only one contract with the company, most of
the projects I do are company-wide, and it would be nice to put the
all-company distribution group e-mail address in the e-mail address field for
the account. However, each user is associated with one particular office and
it is nice to quickly see who works where. It sounds like I really need a
third type of record -- a site -- that sits between account and contact, and
that BCM just doesn't include that record type.

Look for a CD called "Customization for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with
Business Contact Manager." It's orange on the top and silver on the bottom.

4. accessing email account from two different locations

Hi, I have an optium online email account. At home I have my pop and smtp set
up for optonline.net. Works fine. When I'm in my office we use Covad DSL.
I can receive my Optonlie emails but not send. So used smtp.covad.net to send
emails out. I set up on my Outlook 2003, a new account that has the same pop
info but smtp.covad.net. So when I'm in the office I set the Covad account
as default, when I'm home I set the optonline account as default. This works
fine. My only problem is when I'm in the Office (covad account set to
default) my email that I reply to, will sit in my Outbox. But I can create a
new email to the same email address that I was trying to reply to, and the
email will go out. The only time my reply email were sent out of the Outbox
was when I went home (switched to optonline account) to my Optimune online
network. Any ideas. Thanks Al
