Flight Simulation Games >> New PC:need recommendations

I've just bought a new PC, but the only flight-sim I've got is Crimson
Skies(which looks good on my new PC, BTW). I'm having to play it with
the keyboard, as the controller from my old PC isn't compatible(wrong
sort of connector).
I'm intending to get a controller that looks like the PS2's and would
like recommendations for a good combat flight-sim.
Thanks

IL2-Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles (patch should be out for it tomorrow
too). But I don't think a gamepad is a good choice for playing a
flight sim, way too twitchy. You would be better off to get a
"Microsoft Sidewinder Precision2" joystick, they are not too expensive
and will serve you well. The gamepad controllers you are talking about
are more suited to sports games like hockey, baseball, football etc.
The well rounded PC gamer often owns a gamepad, joystick and steering
wheel w/pedals. For some types of games the mouse and keyboard work
best (Half-Life, Ghost Recon, Unreal etc.).

I am building a new PC and can'd decide what viedo card to go with. I want
to use an ATI. The PC will have the Core I7 Extreme with 6 Gigs of DDR 3 2
128 Gig HDDs in raid 0 and 2 Segate 1.5 TB HDD no raid. Along with liquid
colling in an Antech 1200 case. Any advice was going to go with the ATI
Radeon HD 4870 X2 with 2 GIG GDDR5. But am looking for the best.

Hi all, I'm finally going to upgrade my downright ancient 1.3 gig AMD after
almost 4 1/2 years of faithful service. I've been looking for a while now
and I've come to the conclusion that I'm further behind than I realized. I
put a machine together online and this is what I am unsure about -

Processor - [939-pin] AMDAthlon-64 X2 3800+ CPU w/ Hyper Transport
Technology
Motherboard - eVGA nForce-4 SLI Chipset Dual DDR w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA
Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, Dual PCI-E MB
Memory - 2048 MB [1024MB X2] DDR-400 PC3200
Video Card - [PCI-Express 16x] Nvidia Geforce 6600GT 128MB w/DVI + TV Out
Video
Operation System - MS Windows XP Professional X64 Edition

Should I go with the Athlon 64 X2? If I do, is the Windows X64 OS stable
enough for gaming?

Also, regarding the video card, am I correct in that PCI-E is the way to go
now? And if the card and motherboard both support SLI, does that mean I can
buy another card and run it in tandem with the current one?

This machine is purely for gaming. I mostly play mmorpgs, 1st person
shooters, and roleplaying games. My most recent addiction is World of
Warcraft but I can't wait to have a machine that will run Half-Life 2 so I
can finally play it.

Any advice or suggestions are truly appreciated.

8. Need some game recommendations

I've got 2 PC's setup and connected via router. I do allot of single player gaming but the wife will join in if the game suits her
but she is rather picky, the game must have a coop multiplayer mode and she hates any type of racing. Here are the games she
enjoyed; Diablo II, Doom series, Duke Nukem, Serious Sam, Redneck Rampage. I would like more suggestions on similar games that have
coop multiplayer, not necessarily Microsoft games

TIA
