Flight Simulation Games >> ATI Rage 128 Pro with FS2000

I'm trying to make FS2000 work with my ATI Rage 128 Pro graphics card.
I have the latest drivers, but when I start the game it goes to a
black screen and hangs the computer as soon as it starts up. Any
suggestions?

2. Halo reports bad driver for 32MB ATI Rage 128 Ultra

Hello,

Can anyone help me with this? We recently bought Halo and
tried to install it on a nearly-new XP machine with a 32MB
ATI Rage 128 Ultra video card. (The machine exceeds the
requirements of the game, 1.8 ghz processor, 256 MB ram).

During the install, Halo gives us an error message stating
that the video drivers for this card have known severe
problems and we should upgrade the driver. The install
then refuses to continue.

I searched both the ATI site as well as the Dell support
downloads page for an updated driver, but we appear to
have the latest one. I re-installed the latest driver
anyway just to be certain, but got the same error message
from the Halo install.

Does anyone know how to work around this? If not I'll be
returning this game for a refund. If it can't work on a
new machine with a reasonably good video card what good is
it?

Thanks in advance,
Steve P.

5. What do you think of "ATI Rage LT Pro original", AGP, tv-out, 8mb

6. old ATI RAGE LT PRO 8mb w/ TV-Out

Hello,

I recently purchased the above mentioned second hand graphics card w/
tv-out.
the tv-output connector at the back of the card seemed to be a S-video
output. Accordingly, i went to the electronics shop, to get:
- a Svideo-2-Composite converter (cause my TV doesn't have a S-video input,
it only has RCA inputs),
- a svideo cable, to connect the card to the converter,
- a rca cable to connect the converter, and thus the computer, to my TV.

I realized, when trying to connect the cable to my new card, that the
connector isn't S-Video!!!! it's shaped like a S-Video (it's round with
pin-holes in it) but has got 6 pin-holes, and the S-video cable has got 4
pins.
There didn't seem to be any alternate cable/converter with a round-shaped
video connector at the electronic supply shop. it only had stuff with
4-pinned connectors.

Can anyone tell me what weird video output connector format this is? Some
sort of old-fashioned s-video output? or some sort of foreign video output
(i live in north america --> NTSC)? can i solve my problem, or is the card
just obsolete and garbage?

thanks

I am using an ATI Rage Pro on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 system. With
the latest ATI drivers, hardware 3D rendering will not go above the
resolution of 800x600 at 16 bit color. My system is a Dell Optiplex
GX1 with a PII 400mHz processor and 512MB of RAM.
