ROFL! Those were, indeed, the days.

6. interesting topic from Wargamers Forum: civilians in wargames

I found this message in the WG forum interesting. I cannot recall any
computer wargame where civilians are represented.

Should they be present in wargames? And if so, in what wargames? Or do
they just add to the counter-clutter in a game?
Refugees fill the roads and hamper traffic, they occupy houses and
must be spared (or not, depending on what army you play ;-)

Any thoughts on this?

"What games have you played that incorporate civilians on the
battlefield?
What did you like about the systems? What didn't you like about them?
What ideas/suggestions would you make for incorporating civilians into
existing games?
If you put civilians in some of the houses in a game of Lock'n'Load,
for instance, how would you do it? PanzerBlitz? PanzerGrenadier?

I'm out at Ft Leavenworth right now in the middle of a big divisional
training exercise, and we spend a lot o four time worrying about the
civilian population, and what to say to them, how to keep them safe,
how to keep them on our side, etc. Lots of PSYOP, public affairs, and
civil-military office responsiblities.

In the military, we spent over 30 years just worrying about blowing
people up. Then, Gulf I was exactly that, with a minimum of civilians
out there. Now, we've suddenly 'rediscovered' that people actually
live out there where the shooting is going on.
But looking around the wargame world, I don't see that really
reflected at all anywhere

8. Wally continuously changes topics to END any criticism toward STEAM/Valve

Did you notice Wally aka Walter Mitty is always the first to
reply to any new thread with a criticism about STEAM and he
always tries to change subject, specially with the LIYING
theory of every thread criticizing STEAM comes from the same
person, and that person is me.

First with this he manages to change subjects so no longer
STEAM will be the topic but rather about his LIES and second
he also tries with this to imply NOBODY dislikes STEAM, and
NOBODY has problems with STEAM except me.
And lastly and most important this is the same FACIST way of
thinking he has used ever to despise and ditch any argument
against STEAM when he himself never has an argument to defend
STEAM.

To all those that want fair discussions and debates in this
group don't let Wally get away with his dirty tactics!
If a thread is about a STEAM criticism, stick with the point
and don't change subjects!

And no I don't post in this group with a different name.
Its FACIST Wally trying to imply STEAM is perfect and everyone
is very happy with STEAM and all PC Gamers around the world
want to be Valves SLAVES except me.
