Flight Simulation Games >> Longbow 2 Multiplayer TCP Ports?

I'm getting back into Longbow 2, and would like to play multiplayer. I am
behind a router/switcher. Anyone happen to know what TCP and/or UDP ports to
let pass through?

Thanks!

Mark

From.
http://www.longbow.co.uk/lb2/faq.html

near the very the bottom of the page.

"...a firewall administrator needs to allow an initial outbound TCP
connection on port 47624, with subsequent connections of inbound TCP ports
2300-2400, outbound TCP ports 2300-2400, inbound UDP ports 2300-2400, and
outbound UDP ports 2300-2400."

If that doesn't do it, you can always try to host/join and "Sniff" the ports
or check your Firewall logs.

Hmm, no other real concrete answers. Sorry.

I would try and get the Firewalls completely out of the picture while
testing. Maybe disable any Antivirus and shut down unused services while
"testing".

Having a large PING like that could be the result of many factors, like the
client or host simply being busy and delaying replying to the ICMP request.
I wouldn't necessarily blame the network for that.

You could go search the simhq.com forum. Supposedly people have used LB2
on Hyperlobby so you could snoop around over there.

I'd be willing to test it some time as well. Haven't played MP yet.

I have it running with minor issues (long delays to exit missions and
exiting the game usually means I have to ctrl+alt+del to manually kill LB2).

If your router has a DMZ, you might want to try that... Although it didn't
work for me and an FTP server I was screwing around with once.

works.

Back when Janes had their combat center up you could not under any
circumstances play there with a (NAT) firewall in between. This is because
the network code couldn't deal with NAT. I wonder if there is any chance
this is the case with straight IP games?

Good question and I'm trying to figure it out too. I can play no
problem with the ports they suggested but cannot host. I'm behind a
firewall but anyone on cable probably is. Is it another port or IP
address or what?
