Company: BB&T Title: Corporate Compliance Information Systems Specialist / SAS Programmer Line of Business: Regulatory Compliance Location: Wilson, NC (about 40 miles east of Raleigh) Overview: Provide software support for interfacing business and computer application systems that support business processes and information needs. Develop or modify programs to solve simple to moderate business problems considering client needs, application capabilities, and industry requirements. Responsibilities: 1. Work with clients and team members to develop technical solutions for business problems including the gathering of client requirements, analysis and design tasks. 2. Develop specialized software packages, macros, templates, etc., to be used by Corporate Compliance. 3. Perform program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation tasks in accordance with IS Standards and Procedures. 4. Provide software support, which includes problem research, analysis, statistical sampling and resolution. 5. Coordinate with other IS groups including those in affiliates, to develop a working knowledge of all relevant computer applications operating in the same or integrated environments. 6. Maintain rapport with internal and or external auditors/bank examiners and assist in the coordination efforts to ensure prompt and efficient software support during reviews/examinations. 7. Stay abreast of the latest technology architecture and "best practices" in the technology marketplace. 8. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1. Four-year college degree in business, computer science, information systems, or related training/work experience. 2. Three-seven years of programming/analysis experience and software development, preferably in a banking or auditing environment, or, equivalent proficiency in application design and programming. 3. Working knowledge of Easytrieve and SAS programming languages, as well as Mainframe, JCL and TSO knowledge. 4. Good analytical, facilitation, interpersonal and decision-making skills. 5. Good written, oral, and negotiating skills. 6. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently. 7. Good working knowledge of standard software applications such as MS Office. 8.
