sas >> How do I re-dock the Explorer window?

by andrea.wainwright » Tue, 05 Jun 2007 05:11:09 GMT

OK, I've done this before. I accidentally closed the Explorer window.
I know how to go to View and reopen it, but it isn't docked any more.

How do I re-dock it without having to shut down PC SAS and restart it?

Thanks

Use menu View/Contents Only, or issue command DMSEXP.

You can restore the results tab with menu View/Results, or command
ODSRESULTS.

1. EG windows docking?

Dear SAS-L'ers,

Recently I installed SAS 9.1.3 + SP3 & hotfixes and Enterprise Guide
3.02 + hotfix on a new Windows XP workstation and I'm still in the
initial get-to-know EG phase.

Originally the EG workspace was set up quite nicely, as I remember it,
but now I don't seem to be able to make the windows dock, but yet not
overlap. They only dock at the top edge and become as wide as the
workspace.
The documentation leads me to believe they should: "To dock a window,
drag it to an edge of the application until it changes shape and then
release it."

My question: do EG windows actually dock anywhere else than at the top
edge or is there something wrong with my installation?
(there could be as today EG locked up so that after closing the project,
EG wouldn't shut down at all, not through File, Exit and not from the
X-button ...)

Thanks.

3. Double-click problem in SAS DMS/Explorer windows under SuSE Linux

Has anyone seen this problem: the mouse double-click fails to respond
in SAS Display Manager under SuSE Linux. You have to furiously
double-click to open a file/table etc. Although it seems like a minor
problem, it is terribly annoying and has actually led to a medical
condition I would have to call "mouse elbow" (quite painful actually).

This behavior only happens in SAS DMS, not under the Linux desktop.
Changing the mouse double-click interval has no effect.

We're running SAS 9.1.3 under SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, KDE 3.0.3.

Has anyone noticed in SAS 9.1 that every time a libname statement is
executed, the explorer window changes to that library?

I find this extremely annoying. If I point the explorer window to
somewhere, I expect it to stay there until I change it. Does anyone know
how to stop this?
