Hi all, I have created windows service using Dot Net 1.1. The service is set to Automatic Start mode. The service is deployed on Windows 2003 Server. The issue is whenever the server gets restarted (manually or automatically) the services are not getting started even though they are in automatic mode. Does any body has idea about this.. Thanks in advance
Hi, after booting my w2k3 server I have to restart a service (OpenVPN) in order to have it working correctly. I don't know if this is an issue with the OpenVPN config but for now I would like to have a script that automatically restarts the OpenVPN service ~5 minutes after the system startup. I wrote a little batch file (c:\temp\openvpnrestart.bat) with sleep and net stop/start commands and created a new scheduled task that should start while starting the system (with user "Administrator"). But it seems that the script does not work properly while beeing started by a scheduled task. Starting it manually works perfectly. How am I able to automatically restart a service ~5 minutes after system and service startup? Kind regards, Markus
How can a service be started automatically whenever the windows reboots irrespective of the user who logs into the system ?
The Restart Button which appears when you click on Start in the Taskbar merely shuts down the laptop, and I have to manually start up again to load windows. This has been happening ever since I clean-reinstalled Windows XP Pro after doing a full format of the C drive. Even during the installation, all intermediate shutdown and start operations showed the same behaviour, and every time I had to press the start button after a shut down, Otherwise the laptop is performing fine. Can someone please advise how to rectify the fault? Many thanks in advance.
