transport >> receipient doesn磘 receive attatched files

by Anette » Mon, 29 Sep 2003 18:14:16 GMT

Hello,
one of my users have problems when he sends attached files
to many collegues. The mail with the attachment reaches
everyone on the mailing list except one user, who only
gets the email but not the attached file.
My user has the Outlook2000 client and the mailserver is
an Exchange2000server. The colleague who doesn receive
the attached files is using Windows XPpro and checking his
mail through Outlook Express (XP).
I have tried to disable the security default settings for
attached files in WinXP, but it doesn help.

Any advise will be appreciated.
Anette

6. Error 0xc004038a Occurs and IS doesn磘 start

Hi,
I just doing a migration Exchange 5.5 to E2K.
Schemaonly, Forestprep and Domainprep done, ADC installed, Connection
Agreements done and the new E2K Server installed.

While installing, no problem.
After Boot IS won start. ID 9538 and 5000.
No Databases in MDBADATA.

PSS ID Number: 328645 describes this problem:
Her a part of it:

This issue may occur if the Exchange Domain Servers group does not have the
appropriate permissions in the Active Directory. For example, this may occur
when permissions have been applied or removed that prevent the Exchange
Domain Servers group that the particular server is a member of from being
able to read the routing group the server is a member of in the Active
Directory.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the ADSI Edit utility to make sure that the
Exchange Domain Servers group has the required permissions in the Active
Directory. Make sure that the Allow inheritable permissions from parent to
propagate this object check box is selected on the Security tab in the
Administrators group, Exchange Domain Servers group, and any other groups
that are relevant to your configuration.

I checked the permissions, and for example Domain Admins the Check box was
not set, why ever. I selected the check box but same problem
How should the "required permissons" for the Exchange Domain Servers Group
be ???
any idea ?

regards
Micha
