transport >> PreSubmissionQueue Fills up

by Ryan » Tue, 30 Sep 2003 07:03:37 GMT

Server:
Win2k SP3, Ex2k SP3, Norton Corporate 7.6, Savfmse 8.0

NAVCE is set to not scan and exclude all Exchange files
per KB and Symantec docs.

Situation:
PreSubmissionQueue fills up if istore is restarted
without also restarting SAVFMSE. All internal to
internal, and external to internal mail sits in this
queue. All internal to external mail flows fine. NDRs
to internal flows fine.

Any ideas?

Hi Ryan,

I would suggest stopping all the AV Services and setting them to manual
start up type. Reboot the Server and let it run for a while without any AV.
We see a lot of times that an update to the AV causes problems. If the issue
occurs with the AV turned off you should look at the consistency of the
Stores.

Hope this helps,

Most likely your Savfmse 8.0. What happens when you stop that service,
disable it, and reboot the server.

I suggest you try that to test.

Ed,

If you mean am I running an Exchange Aware Backup while this problem is
happening, the answer is no. I am not runing anything while this is
happening. This is continues to happen over and over even after a reboot.

I will post the Event log message when I get home tonight.
