transport >> POP3 Connector Errors

Hello,

We have SBS2000 running happily until yesterday. When
attempting to download messages using POP3 connector
manually, event viewer reports the following errors

Error 1232 followed by error 11004.

The Event ID's generated are 12051 and 12050.

No one has touched the server or installed anything etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards
Robert

3. Pop3 Connector error

Hi - if this is the SBS POP connector, best to post in the SBS groups for
more help.

Or, perhaps better, ditch POP and host your own mail - much faster, more
reliable, easier to troubleshoot and administer.

5. SBS 2003 Exchange pop3 connector error 10061

Hello all, just looking for somebody to point me in the right direction on
this.

Running SBS 2003, I have configured the pop3 connector for 15 user
mailboxes, the pop3 server, userid and password for each user account is
correct as I have verified them by connecting directly to the pop server with
the outlook client. I get this error for all of the mailboxes "error 10061(no
connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it)".

7. POP3 Connector Error

I am running SBS 2003 Standard with the exchange server.
We seem to be sending and receiving emails just fine, but
in the event log there are errors every day about the
pop3 connector.
For instance:
"A error occured in connecting to the <mail.anysite.com>
POP3 server for user < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >. The error is
11004. The server may be down for maintenance or your
server is not connected to the Internet."
and
"The downloading process for mailbox < XXXX@XXXXX.COM
(mail.anysite.com)> was ended with one or more errors.
I've tried the knowledge base, but can't come up with
anything?
I've tried restarting the services but the errors keep
coming back? Thanks for any help you can give me.
