1. messages hung in presubmission queue. Please help me

Hi,

my exchange server (SP3 on win2000SP4) has worked fine for 4 month.

This morning it decided to place all messages (IN,OUT, LOCAL) in the
presubmission queue! Why?

There are no errors reported in the eventi viewer and the queue is
Active.

DNS works.

What is the reason? Why even the local delivery is blocked?

3. Bulk deletion of 100000 messages from presubmission queue

I have a customer who was sent a looped email thousands of times.
I configured a filter but it was a bit late by then.

I now need to be able to delete "specific" messages from the presubmission
queue NOT ALL messages since this is a heavy use email company there are a
lot of legitimate emails to filter through to mailboxes still.

Does anyone know how to bulk delete from this queue rather than doing a
hundred at a time ?? oh yead it's using Exchange 2000 by the way (not sure of
sp revision at moment). I gahter exmerge would be fine if they had hit the
mailboxes but will it work with the queues ??

any help appreciated.

P.s I know about the sinks and have turned all the external anti virus GFI
etc off!.

5. HELP PreSubmission Queue

I have 1 ex2000 and 1 ex2003 server. Both were running fine, then last night
I moved 105 mailboxes from the 2000 to the 2003 server. After the move was
completed some time this morning the ex2000 server started to act funny,
after checking it out the server was running REAL slow and the Presubmission
queue was filling up. I tried to disable the AV, and GFI but didn't make a
difference. I finally added an external DNS address to the virtual SMTP
server and the queue seams to stop increasing, but it's slowly.. and I mean
slowly decreasing.

Any Ideas what could be wrong or what I can do to figure out what is wrong?

I do have this error in the event log...

The message file 'C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi
1\Queue\NTFS_9c33318901c5f2ae000148ac.EML' in the queue directory 'C:\Program
Files\Exchsrvr\Mailroot\vsi 1\Queue' is corrupt and has not been enumerated.

I'm checking to see if that leads me anywhere.

Thanks in advance
AlbertP

7. Local Delivery and Presubmission Queues

Thank you in advance for any assistance. I have only been working at this
company for four hours, and they have an issue I would like to assist them
with.

They have a server that will queue up messages in the Local Delivery and
Presubmission queues for one hour, then suddenly start to deliver the
messages. This happened to them twice today, and I have been told happens
about once each month.

Any ideas or suggestions? I don't have any server messages to report at
this time as I have not had a chance to physically access the servers.
