transport >> Message sent to one delivers to all

I'm having a problem where a meeting notice addressed to
an individual gets sent to everyone. I've verified that
on the sender's side, it really is addressed to one
person. On each recipient, the To: address is the
distribution list for the department. The intended
recipient gets the message twice. The message tracking
tools shows the following (please excuse any typos):
SMTP Store Driver: Message Submitted from Store
SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing
SMTP: Started Message Submission to Advanced Queue
SMTP: Message Submitted to Catagorizer
SMTP: Message delivered Locally to XXXX@XXXXX.COM
STMP: Store Driver Message submitted from store
SMTP: Message submitted to Advanced Queuing
SMTP Store Driver: Message delivered Locally to Store to
XXXX@XXXXX.COM
SMTP: Started message submission to advanced queue
SMTP: Message Submitted to Catagorizer
SMTP: Message delivered Locally to multiple recipients
SMTP Store Driver: Message delivered locally to Store to
XXXX@XXXXX.COM
SMTP Store Driver: Message delivered locally to Store to
XXXX@XXXXX.COM
(repeated 6 times for the others, including david again,
and the sender).

This only happens with meeting invitations and I think it
happens when anyone on this server invites David. E-Mails
sent to david don't have this problem.

I'm real new to Exchange admin and inherited this config.
I can't figure out what rule or directive or whatever is
making this happen.

Thanks for any help

Hi John,

What could be causing the issue is if David has any rules configured on his
mailbox that may be damaged. We will need to remove the rules. You can
delete the rules using David's client and removing them, but there may be a
damaged rule in his Inbox. We will need to use a utility called MDBVU32 to
remove the rule. What version of Outlook is David using?

Here are a couple articles that may help us troubleshoot the issue. What I
would like to do is remove all rules from David's box (using the article
below) and then restart his client. Once that is done, try sending a
meeting request. Does it still get sent to multiple people?

2. One Microsoft public newsgroup delivers only some messages

Apologies if the following is a FAQ -- I'm a newbie in this group.
I've spent my microsoft.public time in the WindowsXP groups up
to now. Exactly one of them, microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics,
consistently delivers to me less than all the headers. For example,
some minutes ago there were 22 new messages, but only seven
headers actually appeared for me to look at. I can't find anything
different about how I subscribe to this one newsgroup, compared
to all the others, Microsoft or not.

I'd appreciate any pointers to where I should look for something
to change to make that one newsgroup behave like the rest.
Thanks.

3. One virtual server delivering to the other one on the same server - Manage MS Exchange Server

4. Non Delivery Report sent to sender when message is delivered OK ms

In a new SBS3003 Std installation running Exchange 2003, senders of emails
into the domain are receiving NDR's even though all messages are successfully
delivered to the users mailboxes.

The sender receives back this NDR:
"The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

       XXXX@XXXXX.COM on 11/10/2004 7:16 PM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this
message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient
directly to find out the correct address.
            <xxxx.com.au #5.1.1>"

The pop3 connector seems to work but it generates these messages which cause
the sender to think the have failed.

If we set the pop3 connector to never retrieve mail and use internet mail in
Outlook 2003 to retreive mail and put in the user's mailboxes it all works
fine and there are no NDR's (which seems to point to the pop3 connector)

6. message sent from global sec group to other global sec group never delivered

I have had this working in the past and now for some
reason it has stopped again... I want to send a message
from a global security group (our helpdesk address) to
some other global security groups (our employee lists).
When I do this, it sends from my outlook client... and
poofs... never to be seen again... no events are logged
on the server, no NDRs are returned to the sending GSG
(which I am a member of). I do have full permission on
the GSG I am sending from... and it has worked
previously... I think last time I had this problem I
changed all the distribution lists from GDG to GSG and it
seemed to fix it.

Any ideas why this wont work?

7. MS Exchange E-Mail Messages Sent But Not Delivered

8. Sent messages remain in outbox after successfully being delivered

I have an odd problem with entourage. When I send a message, it goes
to my outbox, then gets delivered. Then, it gets copied to my IMAP
sent-mail folder. But, a copy remains in my outbox.

This wouldn't really be a problem, but every so often, when I shut
down entourage, I get a dialog box popping up saying "sending
messages..." and it tries to re-send every message in my outbox.

Any ideas on how to fix it? (I know the messages are being sent
because I've sent one to myself at a different email account...)

Thanks
