I did it.Stop all Exchange services.Go to where your Exchange installed, such
as F: drive,go to F:\exchsrvr\mailroot\vsi1\queue,then delete all files
under the directory. You may need delete all files under
f:\exchsrvr\mailroot\vsi1\badmail.Hope this is useful for you.

2. More Virtual SMTP servers and Queue problem - Exchange 2000 Server

I am using Default Virtual SMTP server for all communication on port 25,
several months ago I cerated second Virtual SMTP on port 465 for
authenticated users. For some reason several emails (each abot 2,6 MB) sent
by one user through Default Virtual SMTP came to this second one and caused a
problem. I stopped Second Virtual SMTP, cleaned directory Mailroot\Queue\Vsi
2 and deleted whole second Virtual SMTP server. After creating a new Virtual
SMTP and its confuiguration, all these old big emails are comming to queue
Vsi 2 again and are overloading my server. Any suggestion how to deal with it?
Thanks

4. Default SMTP virtual server Queues

I have one exchange server 2000 and the users are using a mix of Outlook
2000 and 2003. I restarted my exchange server after stopping all the
exchange services and since then e-mails are very slow to show up in the
inbox of the users. In looking at the Exchange System Manager the Queue
under Default SMTP Virtual Server has a lot of messages waiting. The
connection state says "retry". I have been right clicking and force
connecting, which changes it to "Active" but that doesn't seem to help a
lot. E-mails are trickling in but it seems to take 2 or 3 hours. The
PreSubmissionQueue shows the connection state "active" but it has about 4000
messages pending submission. Earlier that number was 8,000. I checked
DNSStuff.com and it shows that I have a valid MX record. The error logs are
pretty clean. Any ideas?

8. SMTP Virtual Server In Queue filling up

I hope someone can help with this....

I have 2 Exchange 2000 servers running on Windows 2000 SP4. One is a FE
server and the other is a BE server. The SMTP Virtual Server queue on the FE
server is filling up with email and doesnt' seem to clear. Here is the stats
for the queue:
-PreSubmissionQueue - ACTIVE - 239 msgs
-Messages Awaiting Directory Lookup - ACTIVE - 487 msgs
-The other 2 queues are READY with 0 messages.
The FE server has no problem access the GC or the other exchange server.
The messages appear to be coming from our internal organization from 2
sources. A lot of the messages are already passed the expiration date as
well. I also tried to force a connection, doesn't work. Also, using
Spotlight for Exchange, it tells me that there are 17 messages stuck in the
categorizer queue. Incoming and outgoing mail, as well as mail internally
are unaffected and working fine. I just need to clear these 2 queues!! HELP!!
