print_fax >> Epson Stylus Printer Queue Full Error

by Greg » Mon, 15 Sep 2003 10:50:36 GMT

Basic Problem: Windows XP recognizes and identifies the
Stylus Color 740 printer (USB) but whenever I print I get
a "printer queue full" or sometimes "document failed to
print" error. When then looking at the queue, the first
72 bytes have been processed, but it has stopped and the
document status reads "Error-Printing". Yet when I clear
the document, the printer queue in the control panel
printer icon changes from "1" to "0", reinforcing that XP
does communicate with the printer. Epson does not have a
XP driver for this printer. They say use the XP driver.
I have downloaded and installed all of the latest updates
for XP, but it still does not work. Does anybody know of
a fix to this problem.
Thanks
Greg

I have tried and tried ( and wasted hours and a lot of good photography

I have tried it from Paint, Paintnet, Windows Gallery and always get 1 full

On a previous Epson and Windows XP I never had this problem. I also have a
HP Office jet 935 and that gives me 4 on 1 sheet also with VISTA 64. What's
wrong with this newest EPSON?

TechnicaL support at Epson at 1st and 2nd level are clueless and totally
