my printer was jammed, cartrige frozen, problem resolved,
now problem with printer connection to computr, will not
print. tried "System Restore" but it will not give me a date.

I got the 7350 to work and here is the solution. You must have access to the installed driver on another system either from P2P or access to the drive of the XP system in a duel boot setup. Install the Hp software on the Vista system and when it says to connect the printer let it try, but cancel when it cannot find it. This will set up the correct USB/DOT4 devices, but will uninstall the driver. Then go to add printer and click have disk. Locate the driver on the P2P or XP drive and the printer will appear in the list. Install it... Good luck "Runaround" wrote: > I'm in the same boat. 3. Installing an HP Photosmart 7150 Printer
I am trying to help a friend who just purchase a new Dell computer running Windows XP Home Edition. We are trying to install an HP Photosmart 7150 printer and Windows XP is not detecting the hardware. We have downloaded the XP drivers (4.0-4.1) from the HP website and start the installation and when it advises us to plug in the power and connect the USB cable to the computer it can't find the hardware and after a few minutes it says to retry to detect the hardware. We were able to install a Dell printer and it is located on USB001, but can not install the HP printer. We have also uninstalled the Dell printer and retried to install the HP and XP will not detect the hardware. This is very frustrating as this printer worked fine on her old computer running Windows 98!! Should I contact HP for technical assistance or is it a USB problem? Can anyone help me!!!

My printer stopped responding. I've completely uninstalled the printer and drivers. Upon trying to reinstall the printer, I get the error message: "This hardware cannot be installed. The handle is invalid". I've tried the original HP disk as well as newly downloaded drivers from the HP website. I'm using a USB connection and Windows XP. How do I solve this problem?
