I'm running Win XP Pro, and using a Microtek Scanmaker V6usL which I was using with Win 98 2nd ED. Check for any updates for your Scanner to run with WinXP. If all else fails, you can tell WinXP to run it as configured for Win 2000 or earlier. Been trying to get a low-end scanner to work well with WinXP Home Edition. Tech support couldn't get the HPScanjet 3970 to work with their HP Pavilion Desktop running winXPHomeEdition. Visioneer didn't work. I hear that some Epson scanners work well .... others are problems with XP. What suggestions do you have about a low-end scanner that will connect simply with WinXP Home Edition .... i don't need lots of features or anything fancy! Thank you.
