print_fax >> Printer errors

by Janice Elliott » Sat, 20 Sep 2003 09:00:27 GMT

I have a Lexmark X85. There are times when it prints out
the page I want to print and then other times it wont
print, it says problems communicating with the printer so
Ill click cancil and then the status bar comes up
Printing-Off Line. I am always on line when I use my
printer but it seems like maybe it depends on what window
I have open I think. Do I have to be online and a certain
program opened or Window before my printer prints? This
is a brand new all in one printer.

4. Visual basic runtime error 5216, there is a printer error

Recently installed Office 2003, printer is a HP LaserJet 4200TN. There are
three macros set up in word that were created back in Office 97 (I think).
The macros are designed to print envelopes, letterhead or plain paper. The
envelope and plain paper macros work without a problem, the letterhead macro
get a visual basic run time error '5216"; there is a printer error. When you
run the debug on the visual basic script the active printer is highlighted.
The line reads ActivePrinter = "HP LaserJet 4200 PCL 6".
The macros work fine for another user, so I did try importing the normal.dot
to the user that had the problem. Need some assisatance ASAP.

8. Printer error 3003 on AD served printers

An application that has been printing since Win16 days now does not appear to
print on printers served by Active Directory at a client site. We have used it
with AD served printers in our lab without difficulty. There are no errors
posted anywhere but no output either. Printing works successfully to locally
attached printers.

It uses:

		StartPage
		EndPage
		...
	EndDoc
