print_fax >> I would like to know why the fax moniter shows nothing?

by peter » Sun, 14 Sep 2003 13:43:49 GMT

I don't know why my fax monitor is blank even if I open it manually.

When a fax arrives, it can receive but the progress does not appear on the
fax monitor.

Besides, the notification does not appear after a fax has been received?

Any idea? Thanks a lot.

ps #322011 does not seem to be able to correct my problem.

Is this on XP SP1?

Open the "Printers and Faxes" folder. Right click on "fax" and select
Properties and go to the "Tracking" tab.
Check that the modem that you want to monitor shows up in the "fax device to
monitor". Also in the Fax Monitor section check the boxes for automatically
open the Fax Monitor when a fax is being "Sent" or "Received"

I would like to know why the fax moniter shows nothing?

It seems that norton internet security is responsible in my case.

I removed the tick for netspy trojan horse and chose the permit option.

Now no more 127...... at start up .

I was talking to the nurse and she told me that the reason flies land on me
is because my diaper is full. I can go two or three days without changing
it because on the box it says good for 17-24 lbs. So far it is holding 21
lbs. Sure does stink in here.

8. XP Fax Printer for SBS 2000 fax does not show the last number manualy dialed

Hello all,

I'm using the Shared Fax Printer from SBS 2000 to print documents from my
application.
To preset the name and the number to dial, I'm writing the values to some
registry entries.
They are as follows:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Fax\UserInfo]
LastRecipientName
LastRecipient Number
LastDialAsEntered

With Windows 2000 fax clients, the name and number is shown in the fax
wizard as expected, but not with Windows XP clients.

Maybe Microsoft disabled this feature for XP.
Is it possible to (re)enable the feature for XP clients to show the last
number dialed?
