1. Adding a Network Printer completes with exception but printer is not added
Hi All, Firstly, I hope I'm in the right forum... If not & you know where my problem would be best directed, please advise. My problem is that I have a Win 2K Pro machine that I need to print through a network printer. I can add the printer without exception & as expected the printer queue of the networked printer pops up (& I can even successfully print a test page on said print device)... However, I cannot see the printer in question in the Printers List (within Control Panel) & likewise when I subsequently go to print the required printer is not present. Any help much appreciated, many thanks, Rob PS: Happy New Year All
2. Add Printer Wizard-unable to add printer
3. Adding printer port in Add printer wizard
I have 2 parallel ports on my computer. LPT1 is connected to an officejet 600...everything works fine. I have a NetMos PCI ECP card. I can install the software and it shows up in the device manager just fine.....when I reboot the XP finds the new printer....when I try to install XP only lists the LPT1 port. If I try to add the second parallel port, it fails. What am I doing wrong? How can I get the wizard to see the extra parallel (pci board) port in the wizard so that I can add the Superscript 860 drivers? Any help would be great. Thanks, Brian XXXX@XXXXX.COM
4. Trying to add a printer and the add printer wizard is not work
5. Trying to add a printer and the add printer wizard is not working
I am trying to add a printer and the add a printer wizard is not working. When I click on add a printer I get an error message "Operation could not be completed" I tried to restart the spooler from the command prompt but got a system 1058 error message "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. Any ideas??
6. add printer won't add printer
7. can't add programs or remove programs out of XP add/remove
When I try to add Fax Services as an XP Home SP 2 windows component in the add/remove control panel, I get a prompt for file fxsapi.dll. I can see the file in C:\Windows\Service Pack Files\i386 but this setup routine says it can't find it even when I point it to it. After I hit retry many times I try the other solution it asks for- to insert the windows xp home service pack 2 CD-ROM. I do that and it says it can't find the file on the CD either. I've also tried removing MSN and it says it can't find certain files to remove MSN either. What is corrupted? Service Pack 2? I have 3 other XP computers and never had this problem before. I use the Fax Service all the time so this is sort of important for us. Can anyone help?
