2. networking troubles after installing nortel contivity vpn client
I am unable to connect to the internet after I install
nortel contivity vpn client on my windows 2000
professional system (service pack 4). I'm unable to ping
any IP address or do any dns lookups.
I've installed the netdiag.exe tool and it reports the
following error when I run the winsock test:
Failed to get UDP packet size information. The error
occurred was: The requested service provider could not be
loaded or initialized.
I've uninstalled the nortel software, and also tried
reinstalling the w2k service pack, neither have which have
solved the problem. netdiag /fix doesn't fix it either.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than reinstalling
the operating system?
3. Nortel Contivity VPN client through ISA - How? - ISA Server
4. IPSec/L2TP between ISA and Nortel Contivity
I need some help setting this up. I have created a filter to allow IPSec in
and out (port 1701 UDP) and am also allowing IKE packets (port 500 UDP). We
are trying to set up a Site to Site (Gateway to Gateway, Branch Office,
whatever you want to call it) VPN between ISA and a Nortel Contivity VPN
appliance. We need to do this using a shared secret. I have created a new
IPSec policy and added the reg key to disable the default policy, however,
whenever I try and connect, it does not work. If I run a packet sniffer, I
see 2 packets on port 500. One to their IP, one from their IP. Nothing on
port 1701. Any guidance on where I went wrong or what I need to do to
enable the shared secret (pre-shared key)?

6. Nortel Contivity VPN Client cannot run normally
Hi,
I've installed the Nortel Contivity VPN Client in my XPE sp1 machine.
When I connected to the center,it showed a reason of logon error:Driver failure.
I connect the VPN by ppp,and there is Eacfilt Driver in the PPP connection
network item list.
Is there somebody who can tell me what's wrong with my XPE or VPN Client?
Thanks

8. Nortel Networks Contivity VPN Client and ADSL Router?
G'day all,
I had hoped to be able to use my ADSL connection to access my office
network - a task previously done through dial-up, and using Nortel Networks
Contivity VPN client. However, when I try to connect through my new ADSL
setup, I get no response from the connection server. I'm assuming this has
something to do with NAT settings in the router, but I haven't got any
further with it. I believe the Contivity setup uses IpSec protocol, but of
course they're not all that forthcoming on their website.
Has anyone had any success with this combination, and if so, what settings
should I try?
